About the Role
Our client is seeking an Entry-Level Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for a recent accounting or finance graduate with some hands-on experience (internship, part-time, or coursework), or a non-degreed candidate with 1-3 years of relevant accounting or billing experience.
This position plays a key role in day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on customer invoicing, accuracy, and collaboration across internal teams and external customers. The role is 100% onsite in Lafayette, CO and offers a great opportunity to gain foundational accounting experience and convert to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, review, and validate information required to prepare daily customer invoices
- Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies
- Remove invoice holds and release orders once requirements are met
- Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to obtain missing or unclear information
- Review and approve credit memos in accordance with established guidelines
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audit or reporting requests as needed
- Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred), OR
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting, billing, or finance experience in lieu of a degree
- Internship or entry-level accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately
- Comfortable communicating with both internal teams and external customers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems (ERP experience a plus)
- Ability to work onsite and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
